ABC Sing-Along [With CD]

I really needed the CD since I work as a paraprofessional and I’m in charge of the listening center using these book. My singing is not the best so I was really expecting to use this. I paid a little bit more than $20 for a used and dirty book(I understand it’s used, but it arrived so dirty and dusty). The CD was the main reason why I purchased this in the first place.

This is an adorably tot friendly gift of sing along poetry (i.e. A is for Alice and Bingo the Bear!) It's a Scholastic classic featuring characters like Penelope the Pig, Tina the Tap Dance Girl and others.

This is my 3-year-old daughter's favorite book. The lyrics are short and clever, the tunes are familiar, and the CD is great. She's already learned most of the songs and sings them over and over. This could be a problem but they're so much fun that I actually enjoy hearing them--over and over. The book has become part of our bedtime ritual. We sing one song together each night before lights out.

My younger son (now 19 months) received this book and CD set for his first birthday. He and his 5 year old brother both love it. The songs are so cute. They are all set to familiar tunes, with exceptionally creative lyrics depicting each letter of the alphabet. We keep the book and CD in the car and my older son requests it as soon as we get in. If we arrive at our destination before we reach Z, we have to stay in the car until the end. Unlike some other kids' CDs, this is one that parents will enjoy just as much.

I bought this book and cd set at a scholastic book fair for my early preschool class and they love it. In fact, I love it too. I could listen to this folk music all day. The lyrics are really funny and the kids have really learned the lyrics so we can sing them between times we hear them. Also, I copied the cd to a cassette for the listening center so when they see the book during circle time, maybe those letters are starting to click with them!

Our 3 year old daughter Olivia loves it! Everytime we get in the car she wants to listen to it. It makes road trips easy as it keeps her entertain and we love it as she is learning at the same time.

I bought this book for my Son's Pre-K4 class and the teacher and students have found the book delightful and enjoy using it during circle time.
