One of the best books available for people who have a loved one with dementia.

I spent 10 years with my husband on his journey with dementia, and then 4 with my mother. I've read dozens of books about dementia and about caregiving. This is one that had an impact on my life. Concepts such as "ambiguous loss" -- the person is both present and absent, and "the good enough relationship" as a replacement for the great relaionship, resonated with me and my experiences. I highly recommend this easy-to-read book to anyone who is dealing with a loved one who has dementia.
