Perfect for Your 12 Year Old Lush!

As an adult with several friends who have young teenagers who are 'hitting the bottle' (including an eleven year old who stashes bottles of Bacardi pre-mixed Mai Tais at the back of his closet along with a tin of Planter's mixed nuts and some cocktail napkins), I applaud this author for addressing what is surely a growing concern. Never before has the issue of under-age alcoholism been addressed in such a simple, straight-forward and empathetic manner. This is the sort of book that a young teenager could really relate to (once he's sobered up), and Roos certainly packs a punch when it comes to the stark realities of under-age boozing. Further to this, many parents are ashamed of their childrens' drinking habits, and are shy of seeking professional help. Mr Roos' book will help "keep it in the family", whilst at the same time encourage parents to seek professional advice if Junior can't lay off the pop. Excellent concept, and beautifully executed.
