A Wicked Thing

I have yet to read this book, though the concept is stunningly intriguing. I bought this book in hardcover very good condition, but I didn’t realize I was buying a library book. The page edges are stamped with a library name and the inside cover has multiple stickers that cannot be taken off because they were put directly on the paper. I also accidentally damaged the hardback trying to get tape off of it. For some reason the previous owners used extremely sticky tape to put a plastic sheath over the dust over, and taped it directly to the book (protecting the dust cover…not the book). I was able to get the other pieces off with no damage to the actual book but it still left noticeable marks that would be obvious if it didn’t have the dust cover. I didn’t realize I was ordering a library book, but it was on sale for only $4 so I guess I can’t complain much. I’m glad I was still able to get the cover and stickers off the dust cover so you can’t really tell when it’s on my bookshelf. Luckily the pages don’t seem damaged other than the ink stamps and some various writings in the first few pages. Still excited to read it, but I’m glad I bought it on a discount because of the quality.
