A Walk Along the Beach

I was disappointed. It was hard to stay interested. I would put it down and not care to return. blah After reading several other books by Debbie Macomber that I really liked this one was disappointing.

I just got it today and when I opened the package the book is damaged right where the pages are like closed looks like someone tried to cut it with something and I haven't even got to read it yet because I am reading another book. I am sad. Would add a picture but don't know how on here. I haven't even paid for any of the books yet.

I have read dozens of Debbie Macomber's books and she has become one of my favorite authors. This was the first one that I did not enjoy. The lead female character was not likeable. Her choice of a man was even worse. Selfish and narcissistic. Even she deserved better. And I noticed that Debbie threw in comments about "climate change" and damage to our environment several times. What is next, "critical race theory?" I voraciously read her novels for romance, not commentary on social issues. Sorry, Debbie, you missed the mark on this one.
