Aghast

I was astonished to find this book out of print. Being an ardent Beatle/Lennon fan I have read a wide variety of biogs on Lennon. This book stands out, however, as a true gem. It oozes the very real warmth Cynthia felt for John in those early years. Her descriptions of The Blue Angle and Ye Crack are remarkably accurate. John's early, rough, witty character as an Art's student are also brought to life. Cynthia WAS there and she loved every moment. This love is evident in every line. This book is a MUST for every Lennon fan. I only wish I could buy a new edition.

VERY ACCURATE!!!

Finally a book that shows the real side of John Lennon! Cynthia Lennon, his first wife, practicly grew up with John and knew him before he was famous. These two were very much in love and finally, you see John Lennon, the Beatle, and John Lennon, a loving husband and father! I admire Cynthia greatly and she sets the facts straight in this book. There was so much not understood about their relationship!

As close to the truth as you're going to come!

If you want a firsthand account of what Beatlemania was like from someone who experienced it, this is the book to read. Cynthia Lennon tells you about her life before John and after John. Every Beatle fan should have this book on their shelf
