A Timeless Christmas: An Enchanting Time Travel Romance

I’m not a huge romance reader, but after learning a lot of Hallmark Movies are based on books, I decided to try this one out. Overall, it’s a fun, quick, lighthearted read. It’s happy, clean, and you can easily slip into it. That’s all the fun of a Hallmark movie/book, right? I enjoyed the History aspect of it, and the classic small-town vibe. The descriptions of the food definitely made me want to try out each and every dish the author mentioned. The book has a good lesson about learning from the past and also choosing to live in the present. Overall, if you want a good quick read, that’s lighthearted, and a nice bit of escapism, then try this one out!

This book was absolutely adorable! Megan is a history fanatic who works at a living history museum in the house of an inventor from the early 1900s. Charles is an inventor from the early 1900s who travels to the present day and meets Megan. While Megan introduces Charles to the 21st century, and Charles is trying to find a way back to his own time, they are getting to know each other. When Charles finally figures out how to get back, does he really want to go? Or does he want to stay in this new time with the new relationships he's found? This was definitely a cute little holiday romance. I enjoyed listening to this book quite a bit. I enjoyed the characters and the story. It was entertaining and fun. The time travel aspect was interesting and well done. I feel like everything did happen quickly in this book, though. I wanted just a bit more out of it to make it really believable. It seemed like everything happened too quickly, even for me. The audio was really good. Kate Rudd is one of my favorites and I enjoyed her performance in this book.
