A Study in Charlotte

God... I might come back to try and articulate my feelings, but essentially... This had soooooo many issues. I'm so annoyed that this book was written in the context it was. From the beginning I literally was like "There is so much here that makes no sense at all." Between the deductions that Charlotte make, but are literally not deductions and have no explanation why she is saying them, the conflicting and almost counterproductive plot twists ( but they aren't really plot twists because if you don't see it coming then I really don't understand), the fact the characters that don't seem to act their age (you can't say they are mature... this isn't a complaint about maturity), the obsessive level Jamie Watson dreams about his life with Charlotte Holmes as he goes from childhood to pre-adulthood (because again, HE IS 16 YEARS OF AGE). The book sounded so good a face value but I am rather disappointed by this read.

I definitely loved the gender role switch for the classic Sherlock tale; however, however I don't know how "young adult" the book is. Also, it seemed very quickly put together in the end.
