A good early history of home computers and game machines

Intended as a buyer's guide, today it's a good history, giving an overview of the systems that were available in 1979, along with a good history of what led up to there. If you want to know what computers and video games were like before systems like the Atari 2600, Commodore 64, and IBM PC came along and dominated it, and if you want to see lots of pictures of the now-obscure systems that tried and failed in the marketplace, this is a very good book to read.
