Heartland

This book tells a lot about society. It is about horses that either have problems or are being abused. What does that say about people in general? It tells us some people can be cruel. Society does not help horses that have been hurt or abandoned. People should not be allowed to have pets if they dont take care of them. That is where society comes in. People should prove that they are mature or responsible to take care of a pet before they purchase it. People should be able to have pets, as long as they take care of them properly and treat them kindly. The characters in this story are very similar to the people I know. The main character and I both like animals, expecialy horses. Amy is the main character. She helps abused horses with their problems and fears. She and I both believe that no animal should be tormented. Other characters like Ty and Nacy are like my mom and dad. Ty is like my dad becuase Ty helps around the stables and my dad is like that too. Nancy is like my mom she is kind and supports peoples ideas. My mom is very nice and she will support almost everyone's opinion. So all the characters do resemble friends and family even though they are different people. There are a couple different themes in this book. One is that you should always treat your pets with respect, no matter how mean they are. Two, is to always support your friends. If they have an idea you should be bringing them up, not pushing them down. Last, but not least is to always help others. This is a very important one because people who need your help may need a friend as well. If you are able to help them out, you should also be able to be their friend and help them later on if they need it. So always help and be a friend to everyone!!

Awesome

I own all the books except 2,12, and the superspecial. And ive read all but the super special. This one and 2 are my favorites. When Brad brings 7 horses to heartland he wants to put food and water in for them then continue his trip. Ty and Amy insist they get them out. When they do 2 are dead and one gets put down because of heatstroke. The rest are taken care of and live. Amy calls one Spindlberry. She gets attached to him. And when the auction house calls to schedule a date to pick the remaining horses up, Amy tries to teach Spindlberry how to stand tied and pick up his feet. He is a yearling that nobody ever trained. Whe n the auction house comes Amy doesnt want to take them in the double-decker. To find out get the book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Season of Hope

Amy knows Ty's father disapproves of Ty working with horses. That's why Amy is shocked when Ty's father shows up at Heartland with a trailer full of abused, heat-exuasted horses. She immediatley accuses him of animal abus but later learns that Brad, Ty's dad, didnt realize what he was transporting until he made a quick rest stop. When Brad saw what was inside the trailer, he stopped at Heartland to give the horses water and care. When he arrives, two horses are dead and another was put down. The rest are kept at Heartland to recover. The auction house makes things even worse by claiming that they sent people to retrive the surviving horses and sell them. Heartland must figure out a way to keep the abused animals from suffering anymore. Will they be able to save the animals from the long, fateful ride to the auction house? Read to find out Overall this book was amazing. I am glad that the Author chose to write on such a touchy subject. Real people go through this everyday, and us horse crazy people are thankful for places that save these amazing creatures from an excruciating death at the auction. This book is worth every penny. :)

BEST BOOK EVER

In this book, Ty's dad comes to Heartland in an illegal trailer with horses that have been abused. It is really sad because some horses die, but it also has many happy parts!!!! To me, this is the best Lauren Brooke has written yet!!!!!! If you can't get enough of Heartland you'll definetly love this book!!!!

She has done it again!!!

WOW!!! Lauren Brooke knows how to make a reader feel Amy's feelings of failiar. First of all the book revolves around everyone at Heartland trying to save the seven horses that Ty's father brings that are severly neglected. And when the company who ownes the horses come to take the horses that survived, away, Amy and co. have to come up with a miracle to save them. All in all a new twist in the series and a great book to add to the collection. Also good times with old heartland friends in the book as well!
