God raises country boy to highly acclaimed ambassador of the gospel.

E.V. Hill is so confident and bold in his faith. He has his faith well thought out. It was a very refreshing read in light of today's watered down faith of many. Very inspirational.

A real Blessing!

I Loved E.V. Hill and was glad to read a Savior Worth having and add it to my collection! The title says it all, and reading his writing is like hearing him speak, which I love, and miss! Look forward to seeing him again in heaven, but in the meantime, enjoy good reading like this!

MIDWEST BOOK REVIEW

Although it saddens my heart to say that this old world no longer has this excellent author among us, I rejoice for the joy that surely he must be experiencing. The book "A Savior Worth Having", that he has left with us, is a touching, loving drawing card for mankind to understand the saving grace of Jesus Christ. His stories are told in a down to earth, simple way, holding no bars and pulling no punches, he shares his faith, his experiences, and his decision in accepting Jesus. His reasons for not wanting to go to hell are clear cut and eye opening!I laughed and I cried reading this outstanding book by E.V. Hill. An encourager for the faithful and a thought provoking book for the seeker.

Give Me That Ol' Time Religeon!

While reading Dr. E.V. Hill's book, I could almost jump back in time to those countless Sunday nights as a youngster in my little church in Shamrock, Texas. Yes, it seemed the Sunday night services were always more powerful than those delivered in the mornings, for some reason. They were more down-to-earth! Even the old hymns, sung by the congregation, were more enjoyable on Sunday nights. The preacher just seemed to be more "laid-back" as he quoted scriptures and delivered messages that caught our attention, led us to Jesus and generated faith. Why I refer to those days of my youth is because Dr. Hill's approach is simple ... yet powerful. He utilizes his great gift by presenting his sermons in an easy-to-read, easy-to-comprehend manner. He inserts humor from time-to-time ... to relax you ... and then delivers the meaningful message. He holds your attention. There's never a dull moment. He doesn't push ... he presents. He also catches you off-guard, at times, where it really counts.Even though the author suggests you read only one sermon (chapter) at a time, taking a breather in order to absorb what you have just finished reading, I found it difficult to avoid jumping to the next sermon immediately. And I've got to be honest, I did jump a couple of times."A Savior Worth Having" is the "Ol' Time Religion" ... presented in a very joyful manner. And it's never been more needed than it is today.
