Reason for Spelling Level B Student Worktext

We did not use the Teacher Guidebook when using this Student Workbook. Because I wanted my student to feel confident in her spelling ability and we only had 2 months left in the school year, we chose this spelling program upon recommendation from her year-end evaluator. We were unable to do the dictation and a few other sections in the book because we did not have the Teacher Guidebook, however, it provided an easy success program that was colorful and encouraging. My student mastered the entire book in the remaining two months. If desiring this as your spelling program for the year, I recommend the Teacher Guidebook as it will complete the spelling program. It contains the story (which relates to the words used), journaling questions, daily program, dictation, etc. It will make the program complete. Level B is 2nd grade.

I did not purchase teh teacher's mauel and htey make it where it is incomplete without it. I have been creative enough to do fine. It is a great book despite that and I would recommend it to others. Both my sons love using them.

We purchased this after going through several other spelling curricula. Concurrently purchased the Natural Speller, which offers great ideas if you want to make your own lessons up. This book has plenty of work and practice. About 1/3 of the exercises require you to have the Teachers volume for instructions. We just skip those, and still have more than enough to do. We like that there are biblical references, and that the lessons are in color and engaging. Plenty of variety.
