Journey to the Well takes an otherwise short scripture and explores the role of Jesus in the lives of everyday women. McKenzie delves into our lives and roles as women and shows how we can experience a closer relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Bishop McKenzie reveals to her audience exactly why she is the first female Bishop in the AME church, this book is dynamic! Through using relevant metaphors of everyday life Bishop McKenzie retells the Samaritain woman's encounter with Jesus at the well. The activites that are included with each chapter help promote spiritual growth and understanding. This is a journey truly worth taking!

This is a life-changing book. It has served as both a life guide and motivation tool. I strongly recommend this book to anyone that is searching for the true woman within or that wants to strengthen and enhance the woman they know themselves to be. This book is very practical. Mrs. McKenzie writes in a way that is very easy to follow and understand. This is an AWESOME life guide.
