When was this published, 1985? I don't have a copy in front of me. But it gave the clearest, best organized and most graphic overview of major trails and routes in the Grand Canyon, from Lee's Ferry downriver to the Hualapai Rez of all the books I consulted. There are photocopies of topographic maps along with plain and concise descriptions of the nature and history of each trail. If you can get a copy, just keep in mind that A) access issues have changed, in a number of places, and B) the author assumes top fitness in the reader, and some willingness to scramble, if not actually downclimb. So, be realistic about your own abilities.
