So touching! My 10 year old daughter read it and loved it. She had me read it and now it is a family favorite! It reminds me of the classic story National Velvet. Even though I don't know much about horses, I am a llama enthusiast and now about livestock, farms, and all those sorts of horse/livestock things. All in all, this a good story for the little girl who dreams of a horse and the middle-aged professional horse rider who is looking for something from her childhood diet of horse novels.
Wonderful book for any one who loves horses

I read this book when I was a little girl. I hope that any one who comes across it finds their dream horse.

This book is WONDERFUL! It is about Penny who wants a horse but can't get one until her neighbor lets her use his horse Bones who is not very healthy. Penny trains Bones and they become a great team! At the end Penny and Bones won a prize and Penny got to keep Bones as her own horse! This book is INCREDIBLE and I would reccomend it to anyone who loves hores!

Penny wants riding lessons, but her parents say they can't afford it. But her neighbor, an old man has a horse and Penny starts riding and caring for Bones (the horse). It's a pretty good book.
