A Horse for Christmas

I loved this book! It was great because sometimes people are in sittuations like in this book. It is sad when you love something a lot but someone else needs it more. Even though I liked Ashliegh #1 (Lightning's Last Hope) better, this was still a great book.

The book was sad but unforgetable. I think that my favorite character is caroline.the ending was really sad,so sad that i cried.It was a very good book and i recomend it to everyone!

This was one of the best books in the series. I think Ashleigh made the rifgt choice to give her to Hopewell. It was very thoughtful and nice of her to give Lightning to them. I think it's wonderful that Joanna started her own series. These books are way better than the new Thoroughbred books. I love it when Ashleigh and Mona ride in the woods and race on their ponies. It makes me want to get out there and ride my horse too. Anyway, I think it's great that Ashleigh gave Lightning to the Hopewell kids. She thought that they needed her more than she needed her. I can't wait for he new book in the Ashleigh series to come out.

I've always liked stories at Edgardale the most, but there were only two stories about it. Ahleigh's Hope and Ashleigh's Diary. The Ashleigh #1 I received as a present and read it right away then as soon as I finished it I bought this one and gave one to my friend! I like the series when Ahleigh is young.

For a childrens book, this book I found, was very mature. In this book, Ashleigh has been nursing Lightning back to health for 5 months, and finally, Lightning is well and beginng to trust. Ashleigh learns that she will probably get to keep Lightning and is estatic, but then she learns there's a catch. The Humane Society also wants to give Lightning to a cancer treatment center that houses children with and recovering from cancer. Ashleigh really wants to keep Lightning, but at the same time she wants to help the kids with cancer. To make matters worse, the Humane Society is making her choose what to do with Lightning, and its Christmas time! What will Ashleigh do, and will she make the right choice?
