A Heart For Healing: A Memoir Of The Life Of Elizabeth Campell Bickford is the personal and inherently fascinating story of Elizabeth Bickford, a nurse who served in the Army Nurses Corps during World War I, and later as a Public Health Nurse in a post-war America. Bickford's dedication and concern for the welfare of others are well recorded in this astutely written memoir which was expertly compiled by Bickford's daughter - Clara Elizabeth Bickford Halvorson. Very highly recommended reading, A Heart For Healing is also available in a hardcover edition.
