Dixie Carmichael was a lot of things, sexy, nosy and a natural at flirting and getting in trouble. A close call regarding her health made her re-evaluate her life. She made some life altering decisions. But she didn't count on a sexy, hunk of a male chef to turn all her plans more difficult with his good looks and great cooking. Only thing was there was more to Nick than that, and she could not pinpoint what it was. Nick thought the town was peaceful and relaxing until he met Dixie! She was a force of nature, with her sexy looks and her nosy ways, she was threatening more that his peace of mind. Dianne weaves a suspenseful sexy story, Dixie and Nick have fun, sass, and steam to bring the whole town of Whistlers Bend the excitement they want. I love the way all three stories connected in this book. The way she is closing these series of "Forty and Fabulous" is just wonderful. I could have had some more of this line it's a real shame this is the last of the trilogy.
A Terrific Read

I think Ms Castell just keeps getting better. My only complaint is that this story marks the end of her wonderful Forty and Fabulous trilogy. This is about Dixie, a warm-hearted, fun-loving woman who has a health scare and decides to do what she wants in life, which is become a reporter, and then she meets Nick. Can you say, 'Stop the presses'. The attraction between these two just burns up the pages. Dixie is a little suspicious of Nick, something just doesn't add up right. Nick is undercover investigating the strange things that have been going on in Whistlers Bend, namely fake designer goods found in the woods, and ironically he's undercover doing something that he hopes to do in real life when he gets out of his current profession. This story ties in beautifully with the previous two in its continuity. But, don't worry if you haven't read the previous ones, this stands alone and when you finish you will want to read the others just for the fun of it. Ms. Castell writes a really satisfying end to the trilogy. She just keeps getting better with every book she writes. I'm sorry to see the end of this series but, I'm really looking forward to the next story she has coming out.
A Fabulous Story

Dianne Castell pens a charmingly funny and deliciously sexy conclusion to her Fabulous and Forty series in A Fabulous Wedding. Fun loving waitress Dixie Carmichael had her world shaken after a health scare. Once she got the all clear she decides to go after her dreams and become an ace reporter. Dixie starts to investigate the finding of fake designer goods in the woods. After she nails the story off to the big city she goes. FBI agent Nick Romero is under cover in sleepy Whistlers Bend, Montana, posing as a new restaurant owner. He has been sent to get to the bottom of the illegal goods. Now he has an even bigger problem in nosy cub reporter Dixie. Nick decides in order to keep Dixie out of his hair he needs to keep a close eye on her. That plan isn't working out very well since he can't keep his mind or his hands off her. Dixie has a mind of her own and it takes all of Nick's FBI training to keep one-step ahead of her. Nick is the first man that she has let get close to her after her ex dumped her for a younger woman. Will Dixie trust Nick when she finds out the real reason he is in town? A Fabulous Wedding will tickle your funny bone and make your pulses race. The banter and chemistry between Nick and Dixie is the best. It was a pleasure to catch up with BJ and Maggie from the previous books in the series. You can't go wrong with a book by this author.
A wonderful end to this fun series

Dixie Carmichael decides to turn her life around starting with a career change after having to have a lump in her breast biopsied. Thankfully the lump is benign, and Dixie wants to celebrate with a new haircolor and a manicure. Much to her surprise, Jan and the Curly Cactus are no longer in business when Dixie arrives. Instead there is a gorgeous stranger putting Jan's beauty salon equipment into storage and preparing to renovate the building into an Italian restaurant. Dixie doesn't know that the hot stranger is FBI agent Nick Romero, who is on his last assignment trying to crack a smuggling ring in Whistler's Bend. Nick can't help but worry about Dixie's safety and his cover when she starts nosing around, determined to make a story out of smuggling evidence that has been found in the area. At the same time, Nick is fighting a growing attraction to Dixie because while she's just starting to find herself and an exciting new career, he is feeling completely used up and is ready to quit the bureau, settle down and enjoy a nice quiet life. This is the third book in a fun series by the very talented Dianne Castell. Her characters and settings are always written with clarity and realism that make them nothing less than charming. Ms. Castell wraps up this series with this satisfyingly heartwarming story. Great job!
A Fabulous Read

This is the last book of the trilogy Forty & Fabulous, and I am really sorry to see it end. This book is about Dixie Carmichael and how after a health scare has decided to make changes to her life. Having always wanted to be a reporter, she has decided to begin her new career by investigating the find of fake designer goods found in Whistlers Bend, Montana. After solving this crime, she then has something to take with her to the city, where she has intentions of making a real name for herself. What she does not factor in is FBI agent Nick Romero, who has been placed undercover to investigate the same circumstances. This is where it gets interesting because the sparks fly between the two for more reasons than one. This is a sexy story portrayed with suspense, romance and giving the reader a page-turning desire to know how it all will end. You also get to revisit with B.J. and Maggie from the previous books. I find that the ending is so right for the series and ties it all up nicely, I just wish that there were more stories to come. It is sad to see the series end, but at the same token Dianne only gets better and better at weaving romance and I look forward to her future books. This book certainly does not disappoint!
