Ms. Castell's writing just seems to get better and better. This second book in her Forty and Fabulous Trilogy is a wonderful, heartwarming story about how great life can be after 40. BJ is a doctor in Whistler's Bend and Flynn has come home to regroup and recuperate after his last battle overseas. The way BJ tries to convince him to let her help him is hysterical and he thinks he has the answer to her problems too. A "Marriage of Convenience",so that she can adopt the baby she so desperately wants. I love how these two interact. They can't get along for two minutes without arguing, which I guess is one of the reasons that their high school romance didn't get a chance to take off either. How they work out their differences makes for a spellbinding read. BJ's Mom turns out to be a hoot and the children were adorable. There is also a bit of a mystery continuing from A Fabulous Wife. I also liked how the chracters we read about in A Fabulous Wife were mentioned and how they reacted to BJ's marriage. I really, really liked this book and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a feel good story, because it definitely delivers.
A fun and passionate read.

A Fabulous Husband is the second in Dianne Castell's trilogy of Forty and Fabulous series but is not in anyway second best. BJ Fairmont has made it as a doctor in the small town of Whistlers Bend, Montana. Now in her early forties her next goal is to be a mother. She thinks adoption is the way to go. But she is penalized for not having a husband. Colonel Flynn MacIntire is home recuperating from an injury has the answer a marriage of convenience. Of course nothing is that simple. With a fun host of characters this book is very entertaining. If you never read a book by Dianne Castell you are missing a passionate charming book.
Yet more fun after 40!

Dr. Barbara Jean Fairmont, "BJ" to her friends, seems to have it all, a successful medical practice, a loving family and devoted friends. The only thing missing is the baby that she desperately yearns for. When Colonel Flynn MacIntire, her old high school flame, comes back to town in need of physical therapy for a leg injury, BJ doesn't hesitate to jump in and help him. Flynn unintentionally finds an adoption agency letter in BJ's kitchen and comes up with the idea of a marriage of convenience. BJ could not have been more shocked at his unbelievable proposal but he persists, explaining that if she were married the likelihood of her adopting might increase and and in the meantime she can work with him in getting his leg back in shape so he can return to active duty. The entire town of Whistler's Bend, Montana loves and relies upon "Doc" BJ, and once Flynn returns, he too is thrown right into the mix. Characters from the first book in this series, A Fabulous Wife, revisit with the same charm and wit as before. When you add two adorable brothers whose little lives also depend heavily on BJ and eventually Flynn, and who are in turn needed just as much themselves, you have a truly satisfying love story, one that encompasses the adults as well as the children. This book contains a heartwarming story of friendship and love, and will stay in your thoughts for some time after you've finished reading. I enjoyed it very much and look forward to A Fabulous Wedding, although I will regret the close of this wonderful series by Dianne Castell.
It is just Fabulous....

A Fabulous Husband by Dianne Castell is a delectable book in the Forty and Fabulous series. Dr. Barbara Jean Fairmont has her friends, family and her practice all in Whistlers Bend Montana. But something is missing, the baby she always wanted. Things start to look up when her old high school sweetie Colonel Flynn MacIntire comes back in town after being injured in the line of duty. Flynn suggest a mutual satisfying deal, BJ can doctor him back to full Army duty and he will give himself as her husband to help her adopt a child. This marriage of convenience may have started out as a simple solution but their long buried attraction comes roaring back. How can these two keep things uncomplicated, when they can't keep their hands to themselves? BJ and Flynn are either disagreeing or tearing their clothes off. Add in meddling best friends and family, they don't stand a chance but not to fall in love. A Fabulous Husband has the hallmarks I adore in a Dianne Castell book. It has wit, charm and smoldering passion that will keep you enthralled long after you finish the book. ******* Can't wait till the next book comes out.
Another Winner

A Fabulous Husband is the second in Dianne Castell's trilogy of Forty and Fabulous series.......Dr. B. J. Fairmont has attained her many goals, except one - having a baby. When Colonel Flynn MacIntire, an old high school flame, arrives back in town to recuperate from his injuries, they work out a mutual agreement. A marriage of convenience - with a goal in mind of B.J. adopting a baby as Flynn would be the father, and in return B.J. will nurse him back to health so he can continue his career. Now factor in an long buried attraction by both parties and it does not take long for problems to arise and sparks fly. Dianne has crafted a wonderful story as we follow the antics of these two, as well as with the well meaning and well intentioned "help" that friends give. This book again portrays life really can get better at forty. It will be sad to leave the town of Whistlers Bend, Montana when we get the conclusion of this series.
