In Yorkton, Saskatchewan, seventeen-year-old Libby Bateson drops out of school because she is three months pregnant. Her unsympathetic dad throws her off the family farm. The story line is fun to read as Libby faces the condemnation of her father and most of the town with aplomb and courage, but fears her growing love for Gibson.
