From a Montana Creeds Series Fan

My first experience with Linda Lael Miller was her Montana Creeds Series. I had my favorite, but honestly, I loved them all. After I read the last book, I thought that would be all until I saw A CREED COUNRTY CHRISTMAS available. I thought this would be a continuation of the Creed brothers--Logan, Dylan, and Tyler. It's not. The author takes readers back to 1910 where it all began. Lincoln Creed lost his wife. He's not looking for love. His heart is closed since the woman he truly loved is died. All he would like is a governess to teach his daughter, Gracie. Lincoln is in town at the Stillwater Springs Courier to see if anyone has responded to his ad when he meets Juliana Mitchell, a teacher from the Indian School. She isn't alone. Four of her students are in her care. With a snow storm heading their way, he offers her and the children a ride. That's when he discovers the school has been shut down and they have no place to go. Lincoln offers them a place to stay, but trouble is coming. Juliana has no way to provide for herself and someone from the government will be coming soon to take the children. She couldn't let that happen. Part of the solution is an easy one or so it seems, but the attraction between Juliana and Lincoln is unexpected. He still has issues left to resolve before he can love again. Linda Lael Miller creates a world I'd love to live in. This latest was such an uplifting experience. There wasn't much in the way of love scenes. In fact, I only recall one at the end, but the book definitely a page-turner as I read it all in one evening.

A Creed Country Christmas

I like all the Creed stories and this was another heartwarming story of the wonderful Creed family.

Get to know the predecessors of those wild Creeds of Montana

In Ms. Miller's A Creed Country Christmas we get to meet the ancestors of those bad boy modern day ranchers Tyler, Dylan and Logan of Silver Springs Montana from Linda's Montana Creed series. Be prepared to spend Christmas in the wilds of Montana just after the turn of the last century and meet some of the most memorable characters you ever will in this touching and heart wrenching story of Lincoln Creed and Juliana Mitchell. Linda brings her characters to life with her descriptive dialogue as well as the bitter cold and blizzards of the Montana ranchers life where her words paint pictures for her readers so clearly that you can see the worry and joy on her character's faces. And not only her hero and heroine but all the characters are so well developed they could easily star in a story of their own. Her story line/plot is as always about family and how they came to be, about hard work, about love and about sacrifice that make her readers turning pages without stop. Her love scenes are tender and sweet and sensual. And the love story between Lincoln and Juliana is right out of the pages of our history books where widowed rancher finds and falls in love with schoolmarm. Only this schoolmarm has been teaching at the Indian school which has been disbanded and what she does with her students, well to find out you'll have to read the book. And read you will in this page turner historical romance by one of America's top romance writers. Be prepared to laugh and cry to stomp your feet and want to knock some sense in some of our characters. But most of all be prepared to fall in love with the forefathers of the Creeds.

Christmas Holiday Romance

If you want just a light romantic Christmas tale-this is it! It's a typical LLM book. I hadn't cared for her other Montana Creed books-she has some I like-some that just don't ring true. However this one has all the key ingredients for a sentimental Christmas story. Julianna, a teacher at the Indian School has been left with 4 of her students-2 who are orphans-alone, homeless and of course no money. Step up Rancher Lincoln Creed, widower with a 7 year old intelligent little girl who wants nothing more than to go to school. OF course he takes them all to his ranch and what transpires from there is fairly predictable but still makes for a nice heart warming tale. It's a story of Lincoln learning to let go of a past love and Julianna letting someone help her after years of handling things alone. I will have to say I miss a dog or cat or pet of some kind in the story-there usually seems to be at least one in Linda's books but alas none here. However, it's a quick light read so if you're in the mood for a fun Christmas romance-try this one.
