A Complete Guide to Magic and Ritual: How to Use Natural Energies to Heal Your Life

This is the first book I read on Magick.I cant say this is a very good book for beginners.Still I found it very Intresting.I liked her style.I would definetly love to read some more cassandra eason books.Casandra Eason says magic is neutral Its us who make it Good or Evil.This is pure white magic book I think.I loved the section on Natural Magic which I found very intresting.I never knew that these herbs we use as Masala's(spice)in our country have magical powers.I am gonna grow them & also use as much as Possible.I wanted to give this book Five stars But as title this is not aComplete guide to Magic & Ritual.

I was intrigued by the title and, on impulse, bought the book. Now I'm looking for more by the same author. She's wonderful! She has a very pragmatic view of magic, and her enjoyment of the subject is infectious. Another aspect I liked was that the author is not trying to dictate or codify magic (although she is fond of rituals). She writes well, and the book is an easy read.I should have given it 4-1/2 stars out of five, because I think the book is a little disorganized (at least I'm having trouble). I would also have preferred a more extensive index.

There's a chapter on encountering magical beings and one on creating a magical home and garden.At the outset, she has a section on essential rituals -- dealing with obtaining, and consecrating tools, setting up an altar, creating circles, raising power -- most of the basics of magical work is covered here.This book will appeal to the beginner, not just for the volume of information provided, but for the way in which Eason makes you take a fresh look at the beauty and awe of the natural world and natural energies that surround us. Advanced practitioners will find some excellent rituals to add to their collection. This book is an invitation to improve yourself by bringing a little magic back into your everyday life.
