Brown stain covering half the cover.

I bought the 'good' (only available) version but it came with a nasty brown stain covering more than half the cover. I gently scrubbed it off, then found that the batteries were corroded/lodged in and broke a mini screwdriver trying to take them out. My daughter likes the book fine but the trouble wasn't worth it.
