there are better books on saints

I would give this three stars, but I like that it includes saints from different traditions, not just Roman Catholic. There are more readable books on saints. The dictionary format might make it fairly easy to look up a name if you already have one in mind, but I really think a chronological ordering might be better. Each bio is also rather short and there are few illustrations. So, it's a worthwhle book, but I think it could've been better.
