52 Scrapbooking Challenges (Elsie Flannigan)

Lately scrapbooking has gotten really intense with a lot of emphasis on detailed techniques that are both time and cost intensive. Elsie's style is freestyle and a whole lot of fun. Because it's a challenge book rather than a how to, it's easily adapted to fit any style. I love how she's able to make the cutest pages using nothing but a handful of buttons and a spool of ribbon. It's inspiring to me since I do a majority of my scrapping digitally and don't own many more physical scrapping products than that handful of buttons, spool of ribbon, and the sheet of cardstock to put them on. I follow her blog and I've watched her personal style evolve. Especially with the introduction of her new line of products. I'm eagerly awaiting new books from her. This one was just amazing eye candy and I'm convinced any subsequent books are going to be that much better.

I loved this book. I had never really noticed Elsie's stuff before and then this book came out. Jammed full of an incredibly fresh approach to scrapbooking, from my first glance it hit me like a bucket of cold water. Hand draw those lines, cut things out free-hand, doodle around the edge or on top of the photos, be as free and expressive as you remember being once upon a time when the rules were not very important and the thing you focused on was enjoying the process. i have spend many years scrapbooking to show my friends or family or future family... but this was so much eaasier, this was the most stress-free and enjoyable scrapbooking inspiration i have ever encountered.

I loved Elsie's book. Her scrapbooking style is very unique and fresh. I love how she focuses on one heartfelt theme. I am inspired to use one photo and tell a story from the heart. She is not afraid to embellish her thoughts over or onto the edges of her photo and I like this style as well. The book is just packed with great challenges.

I've been buying scrapbooking books for inspiration....and so far this is the best of the lot !! Not only includes the most beatiful scrapbooking pages but also teach you a few tricks of the trade, how to make embellishments for example. Im very please with it !

I ordered this book hoping for some ideas to jog my creativity after the holidays... after flipping through it, I will not be disappointed! These are challenges that anyone can do, from beginner to novice, and have a great time doing it! Thanks, Elsie Flannigan!
