Book Overview

Just when a woman's learned how to wind her way through a life of temp jobs and commitment-phobic boyfriends, she has to face the biggest nightmare yet--turning 30. What with everything on that "To Do Before 30" list still left undone and and the biological clock ticking all too loudly, even the most sensible chicks come a little unglued when their fourth decade is upon them.

Luckily, humor writer Julie Tilsner is here to help. A Business...

Great Book!!

I will turn the big 30 in a week and I'm pretty stressed about it! I saw this book and had to buy it! It is hilarious! Ms. Tilsner captures exactly how my friends and I feel about turning 30, and she writes it in the most charming and hilarious way! I laughed out loud reading this book. A must-have book before turning 30!

Humorous, feel good advice

Okay, let's not take this book too seriously. It does say humour/self-help on the back cover, in that order. I am 29, have not been counting, but feel a whole lot better about it after reading this. I normally wouldn't be caught dead reading a book like this but someone passed it on and I thought I'd read 20 pages, hate it, and give it back. At the beginning it did instill some fears I hadn't had before, but I just couldn't put it down. I was waiting to have my worries assuaged and they were. Read this because its funny and it will help you change your perspective of life being over at 30. The good things are coming and I'm glad Julie pointed them out in her comical way.

Knock em dead right on!

I loved the author's wit. Even though I am post 30 (not by much), I could relate to most every topic. I highly recommend this book. There are far too many serious books out there covering these issues (aging). When does the next book come out?

A MUST HAVE for all of us chicks turning 30!

Reading this book is like sitting down with your best girlfriend and discussing life! Finally, there's a book out there about us, specifically 27-32 year old women! We all are going through life at the same time, let's enjoy the ride! And laugh along the way...

A funny & helpful handbook for preparing to greet the big 30

I bought this book because I thought it would be kind of amusing. In fact, it was extremely funny and more helpful than I thought it would be. I'll be 30 in seven months and I have been feeling bad about it, and feeling bad that I feel bad. But Tilsner has a lot of first-rate advice and experiences from other women that make sense. It really was just like sitting down with some girlfriends and talking about it all. I'm still a bit skeptical (how am I supposed to start getting respected in my career after 30 when I still don't have a career?) but I do feel better and more able to cope. I'm passing my copy around to all my 29-year friends this year.
