This small book contains a wealth of insight about how God uses difficult times in our life to draw us closer to Him. It offers great encouragement and answers alot of questions that we all seem to face about what life throws at us.

Love it! Great work that gives solid, Biblical hope for the believer that experiences trial and tragedy and has questions for God.

We are using the book for an adult discussion group in our church. There are about 10 people, both men and women. The book has led to spirited conversations about what people truly believe.

We all have asked questions on why certain negative things happen in our lives as well as question God's love for us. I know I certainly have. Throughout these 21 chapters, Mr. Earley has given us hope and strengthened our faith by using scriptures and personal stories to help us understand the trials we go through. Through these scriptures he is helping us see that things happen for a reason-- maybe we have gotten away from our faith, or treated others badly and need to refocus on where we are headed in our lives. "21 Reasons Bad Things Happen to Good People" by Dave Earley is a great book to read that will comfort all and will be read over and over again.

Dave Earley begins 21 Reasons Bad Things Happen to Good People with a statement, "Pain and suffering, and evil are relentless realities that will not go away until we are in heaven." Many people blame God when bad things happen. God created everything; bad things happen; hence God must be bad. What they forget is that God created man to think for himself. Man has freewill, and we tend to make bad decisions. There are consequences to all decisions. When I face adversity, I draw closer to God. It is sad that it takes bad things to draw us closer to God. However, when things are good we forget who the creator is. 21 Reasons Bad Things Happen to Good People is written in a simple easy-to-understand format. Why does bad things happen to good people? It is a difficult question to answer. Dave Earley's answers will bring peace and comfort to many.
