I originally checked out this book from our local library after moving to the Dallas area. It is really super. It has a one page write-up for all the places the author recommends including driving directions. Very concise. Everything is laid out clearly and you can find what you're looking for quickly without having to search through a bunch of text. I learned about places I would never otherwise have known about. I tried to purchase this online but found that all the sellers are asking twice or more times the original list price for used versions of the book. I contacted the author and she advised that she is in the process of updating the book and it should be out by October. Don't pay double the price for a used version. Wait until October and buy it new. I highly recommend it! She has also published similar guides for Houston, San Antonio and more. I am buying those too.

I used this book last year when I visited Dallas/Fort Worth and I plan on using it again this year. Since I only make one week trips to see my family, I'm sure that I'll be using this book for several years to come! (Or until the next edition comes out!)
