Book Overview

The Margarita. It's the drink that puts the happy in happy hour. A beguiling elixir of tequila, citrus, and sweetness that's guaranteed to go down easy--and put a smile on your face.

The Classic Margarita--perhaps named after Margarita Sames, or maybe Margarete, a descendent of Ponce de Leon, but do we really care?--is a delectable blend of tequila, simple syrup, Cointreau, and lime and lemon juices. But as cocktail designer extraordinaire Kim Haasarud proves in this fantastic little guide, the Classic is just the starting point for margarita bliss. Open the book, and you'll discover 101 heavenly margarita recipes--one for every season, every mood, and every occasion.

All your favorite margarita variations are here. You can chill out with a frozen Strawberry Margarita. Get romantic with an exotic Passionfruit Margarita. Or berry yourself in the fruity delights of a delicious Raspberry Margarita. But Haasarud also gives you lots of new and exciting margarita choices. You can take a cocktail party to new heights with the sophisticated Sake Margarita. Tame fiery foods with the refreshing Sweet Ginger Margarita. Or finish off a meal with a divine Hazelnut Margarita or an espresso-infused Margarita du Caf?.

So invite some friends, get out your shaker, and ready the glasses. With a little help from this book, you'll be in Margaritaville in no time.

Great Product

A sturdy, well-built product great for its' intended use and also for just shaving ice for kids drinks.

That frozen concoction that helps me hang on.

This is a fun book. Great design and style -- so very true to its subject. The structure is informal to be sure. There's no table of contents or index. The recipes are in no apparent order which would help you to efficiently find any one in particular. But, this book is a margarita for the eyes. The design, colors, type and photography all convey the feeling of cool, laid-back, just-a-little-bit-tipsy relaxation. Flipping through its pages makes me feel almost as good as drinking one of its prescribed creations. And, oh yea, there really are some exciting recipes and loads of them. I'm going to have a blast this summer trying them out.

Great easy recipes

I used some of the recipes for a party I had on the 4th of July. All the drinks I made were a HUGE hit! Perfect crowd pleasers!

Amazing Variety of Recipes

This is an amazing compilation of margarita recipes. Who knew there could be so many delicious and mouthwatering recipes for margaritas. I've always been a classic margarita gal, but this summer I'll definitely be serving the pink lemonade or lemon meringue margarita at a Sunday brunch with good girlfriends. Cheers!

love this book!

I have a few different bar books because I love to throw parties. When we have a party, we put all our different liquors, mixers and garnishes on a table in the middle of the room. Then we make lots of coasters that have different drink recipes on them and let people make their own drinks. Not only does it make it easier for us the hosts, it encourages people at the party to talk to each other and compare drinks. This margarita book is perfect for that. We are having a party in two weeks and it may very well be a Margarita party with this book being the basis. The photography is gorgeous and I want to scan the images to make the coasters. Also, there are so many different colors of margaritas; if your party has a color theme, it is easy to pick out appropriate recipes. On top of that, the book is only $10.00. What a deal. I am happy to add it to my collection and with it's pretty cover, it will be facing outward on my bookshelf. And I highly recommend the Midori Margarita!
