One of the most experienced anglers in the world shares his wealth of experience with a variety of commonsense solutions to the problems that anglers face.
I read this book from cover to cover as soon as I got it. When I finished reading, I ran to the basement and got my hip boots and waders away from the furnace (tip #15). I figured that this one tip alone was worth the price of the book to me. (It also helped me understand why I'm always patching and replacing rubber hip boots.) My main criticism of this book is that many of the tips presented here were already covered in PRESENTING THE FLY, Mr. Kreh's last book. Nevertheless there is plenty of information here that I've never seen before. The tips are all well reasoned, well written and well illustrated. Additionally, it's a typical Lefty Kreh book in that it's fun to read and you will be challenged by some of the ideas he presents. If your name is Bob Clouser, Sarah Gardner or Beck you can probably give this book a pass. If you're like most of us I think you should get and read this book ASAP. I am sure it will make fly fishing easier, more fun and less expensive for you.
