If I were to buy just one book for preschoolers, this would be it! Both my children LOVE to read this book from even before they could walk. Even my kindergartener still likes it.

My daughter who is almost 4, just loves this book. Usually she is more interested in storybooks, especially about princesses. But 1001 Words just captures her imagination, everything from the silly faces to the pictures in the back book cover. Now she is learning how to spell the things for which the words are listed underneath and is doing quite well. We can only read this book when our local library has it, and no one else has checked it out. I have tried every way to try and purchase this book to no avail, hopefully the publisher will reprint 1001 Words.
