Compiles thousands of trivial facts about such things as movies, sports, comics, music, and historical events. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is an addictive book- you cannot thumb through it without being amazed at the amount of neat facts! My husband and I (both tried out Jeopardy as teens!) took it iwith us on a car trip and read aloud from it. Where else can you find first lines of famous books, the original 31 flavors and the islands mentioned in Kokomo!I love the little bits of pop culture- I always remember that the Facts of Life girls went to Eastland, but liked being reminded that Holden Caufield was booted from Pencey Prep. This is great for a game show contest or just a trivia afficionado. The information ranges from sports to culture, music politics etc. Read it, but have lots of time because you won't be able to put it down!

AMAZING BOOK!

Contained among these pages are literally thousands of trivia facts. What is most outstanding about the book is the layout. The index is well organized and subjects are very easy to find. I found all of the trivia contained here extremely interesting, and believe me there is a lot of reading material. Some trivia books contain a ton of information but the subject matter is often so strange and bizarre that few people have an interest in the material anyway. That is not the case with "10,000 Answers." The material presented here is educational, useful, factual and intriguing. Some readers may read it from cover to cover, others may read the material according to subject matter. Either way, it is a terrific addition to your library and excellent resource material.
Hours of Fun

This book contains loads of interesting facts, all conveniently gathered in one place. As current crossword champion, I consider this "fun reading" but even those with a different idea of fun will find it useful. I wish it had been around when I was studying for "Jeopardy!"
An incomparable trivia reference

I own dozens of trivia books, and "10,000 Answers" is by far the best. Partly because of its superb index, which too many trivia books lack (so you can't find a trivia question's answer unless you already know the answer!). Partly because of its readability -- lots of disparate facts on every page, and little of the "who cares?" trivia that just pads out so many trivia books. But mainly, for me, the fact that it includes so many wonderful lists in one place, the sorts of things that are never collected in one book and are often hard to find at all ... things like the people on the "Sgt. Pepper" album cover, and all of the Jelly Belly jelly bean flavors, and every college team nickname. To me, this book is a must-have.
