Better condition!

Better condition than promised and a great reference book! Well done!

Thick as a Brick and Packed

This book is everywhere, in every kind of store imagineable, and it's always well-thumbed. That's because it's irresistible. Hanky Panky has drawn from his enormous photo collection and given us 1000 tattoos -- of all types, including some historical shots. One of the most bizarre tattoos that I have ever seen is in this book (the topless woman who has a tattoo on her upper chest and collar bone of a necklace of dangling male members -- each male member tattooed with a different theme). In the past, this book has been out of print, so get it while you can.

Very cool book, but some shortcomings...

I really enjoy this book and never get tired of perusing it, but it is very heavy on old school designs with very little modern stuff to chew on. I love the old tattoo photos from the early 20th century, and a lot of the black and white shots of oldies like Les Skuse at work. A great photographic history, indeed.Again, the only real shortcoming is the lack of modern designs, but it makes up for it with all of the great old school photos. A great resource to have as a compliment to other books and manuals.

A Great Sourcebook

This is an exellent cross section of the very diversified world of tattooing.Covering subjects ranging from Pacific island rights of passage,to the very modern western tattooing.Definetly a must have piece of eye candy for any serious collector.

1000 Thanks to 1000 Tattoos

Excellent visual depiction of the natural progression of tattoos from the early days as rites of passage in indian tribes to the use of tattoos to pledge allegiance to motorcycles. I recommend this book to anyone who has an affinity for tattoos.

The Best Book On Tattoos Ever!

I am a big fan of Tattoos, I have many Tattoos myself, and this book is a great recource on the wide world of tatoos.
