Introducing ThriftBooks 4 Teachers™

I started working at ThriftBooks in August 2019. About 3 weeks into the job, I took my first trip to one of our Processing Centers and I could not believe what I saw! So many books all under one roof and the location I was visiting was not even our largest! I took a tour of the facility and learned more about our book production process, met many of the employees working in that PC, and delved deeper into some strategic conversations with colleagues. But as I travelled home to Seattle on the train that night all I could think about was all those books!

When I encounter a large quantity of books in one place two things come to mind: libraries and schools. Libraries and schools are locations where you can find some of the highest concentration of books (except, perhaps, for the home libraries of our Literati customers!). As many of you know, libraries are a core part of the ThriftBooks DNA, as we have strong profit-sharing partnerships with many libraries across the country. So, as I gave thought to other opportunities for all those books, it only made sense to turn my attention to schools and think about what ThriftBooks could offer to Educators.
