For a good portion of September, Thrift Books is offering all books in our Literature & Fiction category at 15% off, if you use the code LITFIC at checkout.
Our Back to School discount ended at the end of August, but it wasn't lost on us that we could serve some of those returning students into September by offering a discount on ALL the used books in one of our largest categories.
So what book do you want to read next? – Melina gave us some really popular pointers on some all-time greats in fiction in her blog last week, and we'll offer a similar list for "literature" soon. As there are no limits on how often you use this coupon I'll be using it to complete some of the best series I've dipped into but have yet to collect the full set. Me? OCD? Really? I don't have Sword Song or The Pagan Lord in Bernard Cornwell's Saxon Series and Tim Dorsey's Serge Storm series is consistently one of the funniest I've read, but I'm missing at least 5, so I'll remedy that.
Speaking of completing a series, I've added "The Girl in the Spider's Web" to my Thrift Book's Wish List. Really, you might ask? The author of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" died a decade ago and you're selling his brand new novel and bringing new meaning to the term ghost writer? At first, I didn't want anything to do with posthumous attempts to cash in on the success of the Millennium "trilogy," but it turns out to be much more than that. David Largercrantz is a novelist in his own right and since the release last week the reviews and press about his homage to Stieg Larsson is so strong that I can't resist. Bring on the next book in this unsettling saga!
