Investigative journalist Eric Schlosser has written bestsellers Fast Food Nation and Reefer Madness. Fast Food Nation, originally a two-part series in Rolling Stone, was adapted into a film directed by Richard Linklater. A correspondent for the Atlantic Monthly, he has written for, among others, Vanity Fair, the Nation, and The New Yorker. Schlosser has received a National Magazine Award and a Sidney Hillman Foundation Award for reporting. Born in 1959 in New York City, he grew up there and in Los Angeles. Schlosser did his undergraduate work in American history at Princeton University and completed graduate studies in British Imperial history at the University of Oxford. He lives in California.
